Systemteknik Open Research Seminar: iRoad - Towards an intelligent road surface.
In this talk the design and implementation of a cooperative road infrastructure systems, which uses an intelligent road surface, is discussed. Using an overtaking assist feature as an example it is shown how such a feature can be designed and implemented on a road infrastructure and integrated with drivers and passengers using IMS. The research challenges are discussed, how they are addressed within the iRoad project and where we are right now.
